Severe Tooth Pain: Persistent and severe tooth pain is a clear sign that something is wrong and in need of attention. Toothaches can be caused by tooth decay, infection, abscess, or even a cracked tooth. Intense pain can make it difficult to go about your daily tasks so don't delay in seeking professional help. 2. Knocked-Out Tooth: It is crucial to act quickly if a tooth has fallen out. A knocked-out tooth has the highest chance of being saved if you can get to the dentist within the first hour. As soon as the tooth is knocked out, rinse it gently with water (don’t scrub) and store it in milk or saliva until you are with the dentist. 3. Broken or Fractured Tooth: A broken or fractured tooth can expose sensitive nerves, increasing chances of infection.
