Financing & Payment Options For Dental Care

Our practice is a Fee-for-Service dental office, meaning payment is due at the time of service. The truth is, that insurance companies have a cap on what they are willing to allocate to dental health. This cap may limit our ability to provide the level of care that we strive for, especially for more complex treatments. To make this easier for our patients, we offer flexible financing options through CareCredit, Sunbit, and Cherry. These solutions help manage the cost of your dental treatments, offering options like healthcare credit cards, pay-over-time plans, and buy now, pay later solutions.

FAQ - Payment & Insurance

What payment options do you offer for dental treatments?

Our practice is a Fee-for-Service dental office, meaning payment is due at the time of service. The truth is, that insurance companies have a cap on what they are willing to allocate to dental health. This cap may limit our ability to provide the level of care that we strive for, especially for more complex treatments. To make this easier for our patients, we offer flexible financing options through CareCredit, Sunbit, and Cherry. These solutions help manage the cost of your dental treatments, offering options like healthcare credit cards, pay-over-time plans, and buy now, pay later solutions.

Does Lugoff Smiles accept Medicaid or Medicare?

At Lugoff Smiles, we’re committed to providing the highest quality of dental care. While we don’t accept Medicaid or Medicare at this time, this is because these programs often focus on basic care and may not cover many of the comprehensive treatments we offer. Additionally, the reimbursement rates for these programs can be lower than the actual cost of delivering care, which makes it challenging to maintain the high standards we strive for. That said, we understand the importance of accessible care and offer various flexible payment options and financing plans to help ensure that our patients can still receive the treatments they need. We’d be happy to discuss these options and find the best solution for you!

Do you accept my insurance?

While we are a Fee-For-Service office and are not contracted with insurance companies, we will file claims on your behalf as a courtesy. This allows you to maximize your out-of-network benefits. We encourage you to check with your insurance provider to understand your coverage for out-of-network dental care.

What does Fee For Service mean for my payment?

As a fee-for-service practice, if your insurance company pays our office, we will apply the estimated amount at the time of service. You will be responsible for the remaining balance as well as any balance that remains after our office has received all payments from your insurance.

How does CareCredit work?

CareCredit is a healthcare credit card that allows you to pay for out-of-pocket dental expenses not covered by insurance. It offers various payment plans to suit your needs, helping to spread the cost of treatment over time

How does Sunbit financing work?

Sunbit offers a convenient pay-over-time option that is designed to fit your budget. With flexible monthly payments, it’s an excellent option for managing larger dental expenses with a quick approval process.

Can I still use my dental insurance at your office?

Yes, while we are not in-network with any insurance provider, we can file your claim on your behalf. This helps ensure that you receive any applicable out-of-network benefits directly from your insurance provider.

5-Star Google Review

"From my 1st call I knew this was the place for me. The coordinators found me an appointment that work for my schedule and explained everything I needed to know. The dental assistant walked me thru everything she was gonna do and what to expect once the doctor came in. The doctor got me to an endodontist to save my tooth. I look forward to seeing how Dr. Sartor can improve my smile. Thanks again Lugoff Smiles"
